Program Dates and Curriculum
A kick-off event for the Entrepreneur Accelerator Program is typically held during the Birmingham Venture Club's September Membership Meeting . The Accelerator program usually concludes at the Birmingham Venture Club’s Annual Meeting to be held in early-December of each year. Graduates of the Accelerator program will be presented to the Club's membership via a graduation ceremony during the Annual Meeting.
Between the kick off and graduation events, the program consists of weekly or bi-weekly meetings on dates to be announced covering topics such as, but not limited to, market validation, product or service development, preparing business plans, raising capital, building management teams and boards of directors, and sales, marketing and advertising. Each class begins at noon with lunch, followed by a period of instruction by an expert on the relevant subject matter, a hands-on workshop, and a panel discussion by local and regional experts on the relevant subject matter. Each class will conclude with a cocktail reception that will end around 6:00 p.m. Other stand alone events may also be scheduled for class members throughout the year.
