2010 Membership Survey (Dues Paying Only)


Birmingham Venture Club Members,


Your opinions are important to us. Which is why I would greatly appreciate your input.  Below you’ll find a link to an online membership satisfaction survey—which you can

take (anonymously if you prefer) in about 10 minutes; we are giving you the option to answer only the questions that matter to you.


We know how valuable your time is—which is why we would like to offer you this added incentive for responding:


Complete the survey by 4 pm on Wednesday, February 10, and you will be entered into a drawing for a Valentine's weekend dinner for two on Saturday, February 13 at Satterfield's Restaurant in Vestavia Hills. The drawing winner will be contacted directly, and announced on the BVC website by 9 am, Thursday, February 11.


Final deadline to complete this survey is 5 pm on Monday, February 15.


Other prizes include a free breakfast at The Summit Club and a complimentary table of eight for your company at our next Venture Club luncheon on March 25. Drawing winners will be announced on Tuesday, February 16.

If you are sitting in your corner office thinking that your career

is safe, think again. The magazine Electric Perspectives (September

2005) quoted a Booz Allen Hamilton study that stated "While the

typical employee turnover rate in the United States is 12 percent

(excluding layoffs and temporary employees), CEO turnover rates are

only slightly lower, at 11.7 percent. Also, the increase in CEO turnovers

has been enormous in the last 10 years-300 percent since 1995.

Overall, 14.2 percent of CEOs at the world's 2,500 largest companies

left office last year, compared with 9.8 percent the year before."
